    Lovely second stay at Portokali

    Not as expected

    Unfortunately, we left disappointed. Out of the 10 accommodations we had in Greece, this was by far the most disappointing. the road to the villa is very bad and if you cross it 4 times a day... The accommodation looks good in the pictures, but on the spot you see something else. There are no doors in the bathroom and this is very inconvenient. The water flows slowly (you can take a shower, in turn...each room). Sometimes, water comes out of the sewer in the bathroom. The air conditioning works poorly, in some rooms water is running on the walls. The property does not have a grill suitable for 12/14 people but one, electric for 2 people. The wifi internet is bad and can be used a little in the living room. The lights in the pool didn't work etc Hope this review will make someone to take actions..

    Δυστυχώς, η πισίνα ήταν εκτός λειτουργίας λόγο χαλασμένο φίλτρου και πάρα την ενημέρωση που κάναμε στους υπεύθυνους μας προτρέπουν σε χρήση αυτής.....απαράδεκτο. Περιττό να πω πως στην μισή τιμή, βρίσκαμε ακίνητο χωρίς πισίνα Η κουζίνα γεμάτη μυρμήγκια. Για 5 μέρες (4 νύχτες) μας παρείχαν 1 ζευγάρι πετσέτες.

    Incredible

    This was a gorgeous villa with a view that we simply couldn’t get enough of! The dining area outside was roomy and convenient. The inside spaces were super clean, beautifully decorated, PLENTY of space, with an island feel. We especially appreciated the professionalism and promptness that the rental team responded with. If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like a dream from the moment that you walk in til the moment you leave - this villa is it!

    Remarquable Villa pour des vacances

    Notre séjour a été parfaitement réussi dans cette villa soignée et très bien agencée. Nous n’étions que 4 adultes mais l’espace immense proposé est très vite apprécié. Cette villa a un raffinement certain, discret comme je l’apprécie où l’on se sent très vite à l’aise. On se l’approprie quasi immédiatement. Pour une fois pas de discussion pour l’affectation des chambres car elles ont toutes leurs attraits et on est plus proche de l’embarras du choix. Les différentes zones extérieures laissent penser à un esprit « mas provençal » avec pierres, oliviers et cigales mélangé au bleu grec de la vue mer splendide. La piscine légèrement décalée sort (enfin) du traditionnel «devant la terrasse repas » et permet de conserver tranquillité et intimité. La prestation proposée par Marie et Theo est de grande qualité tant au niveau de l’accueil que de la gestion (propreté, mise à disposition d’équipements…) Habitué à louer sur cette île de lefkada, cette villa a mis la barre haute et je la recommande avec insistance.

    Perfect villa at fantastic location

    Really enjoyed well-maintained Villa Portokali! Location with great views over the sea and only a few minute drive from Sivota Bay. All equipment needed is present and with the big garden and terraces together with the infinity-pool this villa is in our opinion THE place for a perfect stay. Communications with Anna, Katerina and Barbara from VillasThalassa were more than correct and these very friendly ladies also made arrangements for rental-car, massage at the villa etcetera. We highly recommend VillasThalassa for the fantastic services.

    Wonderful experience

    The villa is new, in excellent conditions and wonderful, with an amazing panorama; the swimming-pool and the outside area are gorgeous and very-well maintained. The Villa is very spacious, for 12 people: each room has its own privacy (patio in front of the room) but there is also a large leaving room to stay together. We had delightful dinners in the yard outside for 14 people: the location is better than a super-restaurant. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. I rated Good since the (approx. 1,5 km) road to get to the villa is for long stetches a gravel-road in bad conditions and requires to drive very slowly.

    Villa Portikali

    A beautiful villa on an amazing location. The view is fantastic. There is a beautiful infinity pool and several seating areas. The villa is suitable for several families with enough privacy for each family. The furnishing is complete and the service is OK. We had, with three families 9 persons in total, a great holiday.

    Great villa

    Villa Portokali is great. Off the beaten track, and thus very quiet without any car noise and so on, the villa is extremely well equipped and furnished, both inside and out. The pool area is lovely (and the views are great), the pool furniture is excellent and there's plenty of shady seating for those not wishing to sunbathe. Inside the villa, everything is very clean and fresh, plenty of towels (both bath and pool), air con all round and a well-equipped kitchen. Two large fridges help keep both food and drinks chilled. The en suite bathrooms are finished to a high standard and, outside, the garden is mature and well tended. There is ample parking, and close to the front door which is great when returning from the supermarket run. Oh, and the almost private tiny bay below the villa is simply divine, if you can manage the steep walk down and back up. Anna and Katerina looked after us from initial booking all the way through our stay most professionally and, were we to return to Lefkada, we would not hesitate to make Villas Thalassa our first port of call in search of a villa. A very good stay was had by all.

    Poorly managed

    Miscommunication between the host and main office caused huge confusion. The issues that we faced (no hot water, no wifi, bedding amongst others) were not addressed in a timely manner, or often times were not addressed at all. The only real selling point of this villa is the view which is lovely, but not enough to offset poor management.

    Beautiful Villa, well equipped kitchen, amazing view

    This is the 4th Villa from Villas Thalassa which I rent and it was the biggest one. Very nice layout with large garden! Perfect for our family trip with 8 people and also for 10 would be really convenient. Service for cleaning and maintainance as well as boat rental was excellent. I will be back again for sure,

    Very nice villa, beatiful island

    We were three families at the Portokali Villa and enjoyed our stay very much. It was possible to make day trips to everywhere from Sivota which is a cute little town of Lefkada. The location and setting of the house is perfect. We had enough rooms and almost everything we needed for our group of 11. Betty from Villas Thalassa was very helpful and responded quickly to all our questions and technical issues. The drainage problem needs to be solved, there is a smell and water doesn’t drain well from the showers on the ground level. We do recommend the villa to any lucky group whose road crosses with Lefkada and Villas Thalassa. Thanks for all.

    Beautifully laid out Villa with stunning views

    Villa Portokali is a beautifully laid out Villa for a multi-family holiday - every room is special, lots of bathrooms and windows. The outdoor space by the pool is extremely well done, with multiple spaces, big and small, private and larger, shady and not shady... really nice. Views are stunning as you are high about the sea. The town of Sivota is cute, and close enough that it's easy to drive in for lunch or an afternoon ice cream. There is a semi-private beach in a cove that is equally beautiful, but it's a 20 minute walk down-hill. I found this to be a positive - as it was magical to find the beach at the end of a mini-hike - but with toddlers or people otherwise unable or un-interested to walk it is important to be aware of. Renting boats from Sivota was a highlight.

    Paradise On Earth

    We spent our best holydays ever. The house is huge and very well design: rooms are independent with their own terrace! Every occupant could spend a quiet moment by his own. The swimming pool is really incredible: the panoramic sea view extend the swimming pool area :) We also have loved the main room in which we took bathes looking at the sea by a huge panoramic window. All the family could gather in a cozy living room or eat on the main terrace in front of a marvelous garden. We have enjoyed that a lot. We appreciated also the nets on each window to avoid mosquitos! All the house is very well purvey, all the stuff is high quality and well thought out with very good extra services to enjoy it even more. To conclude, all the island is paradise on earth and this house is perfect to enjoy it.

    un très bel endroit une villa trés agréable et bien aménagée

    Nous sommes venus passé une semaine avec un groupe d amis. Villa Portokali avec ses 5 chambres et 5 salles de bains nous a correspondu à merveille .La vue est juste superbe et comme nous y étions avec la pleine lune le spectacle continuait même la nuit tombée.Les plus motivés descendaient chaque jour à la petite plage (500 mètres à pied d'un petit chemin dans la colline).Nous avons assez peu visité l'île qui semble superbe mais nous étions tellement bien sur les terrasses que nous n avions pas vraiment envie de bouger si ce n'est pour aller manger à Sivota au petit port voisin.L'internet local par satelitte est un peu lent mais nous captions la 4G sur nos téléphones.

    Just a great place

    We had a great time in Villa Portokali on Lefkas. The pictures on the website show some nice views, but when you're sitting or standing on the huge terrace the views are the best you can get. And off course the villa is great 'herself', so much space, clean, full of luxury and also cozy. Don't forget to walk to 'The Cove', just a couple of minutes climbing down (and later up again) and you have a private beach without being a millionaire. And also thanks (again) to Anna and her team; they arrange everything for us and you. Just do it...

    An excellent villa in a breathtaking location. A great venue for big groups, plenty of space and well equipped for all needs. We were three families with teenagers and everyone was very happy and had enough space. Really gorgeous swimming pool too. Particularly loved our bedroom on the top floor, waking up to that view every morning will keep me going through the winter! You do need a car though to visit the excellent beaches in surrounding areas. Really loved Sivota and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. Will definitely return!

    Une villa au paradis ideal pour grande familles ou groupe d amis

    Nous avions choisi cette villa pour l organisation d un stage de santé naturelle avec ses 5 chambres et ses 5 salles de bains les 10 personnes du groupe étaient installées dans d excellentes conditions et on pu profiter de l environnement privilègié de cette très belle villa.La descente à la plage de la crique pour le bain de mer du matin reste un moment d'exception. Nous y reviendrons en septembre pour un prochain stage

    venu avec un groupe d amis on a adoré l'île de Lefkada suffisamment touristique pour y trouver des services et jamais le sentiment d agitation nous avons chaque jour de la semaine decouvert une nouvelle plage La villa a tout ce que l on attend le confort, la vue l espace et un acceuil trés sympa de Jérome qui nous a toujours trouver une solution pour louer un bateau,reserver des scooters etc à bientôt

    Villa Portokali is wonderful. The house is a very comfortable space to be in & the outside areas are very well planned & laid out with plenty of sun & shade. The views do not disappoint either. We LOVED the villa & would definitely recommend it. The only things it would be useful to be aware of are that the wifi is very poor - messages took a couple of days to arrive, book download via kindle was not possible & emails were sporadic! Not a problem for us on this occasion but could be. More local information in the villa would be useful including how to find the little beach path nearby, & where to get cash. For anyone planning to go, it is useful to book boats in advance of arrival & bring plenty of euros! Fabulous holiday. Thank you Anna & Jerome

    The villa has a fantastic view och the whole house and garden had a very high standard. The staff were very helpful and professional. Only problem was the wifi but this was a capacity problem the whole area experiences due to only one ASDL cable shared by all the villas.

    Wir haben die Tage in der wunderschönen Villa Portokali sehr genossen. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Erwachsenen und hatten alle sehr viel Privatsphäre und sehr viel RuckzugMöglichkeiten. Die Villa hat eine traumhafte Lage mit tollem Blick über die Inselwelt. Die ist modern und mit allem ausgestattet was man im Urlaub zur Erholung braucht. Die Betreuung war aufmerksam und hat uns mit vielen Tipps zu Ausflügen und schönen Stränden geholfen. Der tolle Pool und die schönen Terrassen liessen keine Wünsche übrig. Wir können die Villa nur weiterempfehlen. Einzig die Zufahrt und die letzten 1,5 km Weg sind Verbesserungswürdig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

    Villa Portokali is the perfect place if you are looking for relaxing atmosphere. The villa is located in a quiet beautiful surrounding. The modern design as well as the high level of maintenance as well as the good cleaning performed prior to our arrival made our stay perfect. The only disappointment we had is that the Jacuzzi water is not heated (freezing).

    This was one of our best holidays we ever had, everything was perfect,also the weather (sunny and hot) ! The house was exactly like shown in the internet with an gorgeous view to the sea and enough space for 10 people ( 6 adults, 4 children). Nothing was missing and we really felt like at home. Thanks to Anna and Jerome we even felt more comfortable and got some valuable tipps for travelling, sailing, food .... The island itself is really worth to see, not so many tourists at all with small nice villages, perfect food and awsome beaches with turquoise water ! The villa is modern but comfortable and there is everything you need to have and if not they tried to make it happen for us. A perfect holiday in a perfect surrounding, we will be back ! Thanks for everything !
