The five-star Villa Doukato is located in one of the most beautiful areas of south-west Lefkada, overlooking the Ionian Sea. It is just a one-minute drive (400 meters) from the tourist resort and one of Europe's best windsurfing beaches, Vasiliki, and 14 km from one of Europe’s most picturesque and famous beaches, Porto Katsiki. This exclusive six-bedroom villa is an architectural gem. This modern holiday rental is a jewel on the shore of Vasiliki Bay, recently built in a very quiet location and close to Vasiliki. The prestigious villa is carefully designed, provides complete privacy and is very spacious, ideal for family holidays or a group of friends.

The location of the villa give you short access to all types of businesses, while through a hidden narrow path, just a 100 meters away from your door, you can find yourselves in the emerald sea of the bay. You can also walk 400 meters to the sandy beach of Ponti, where you will be able to relax on the sunbeds, while enjoying your cold beverages at hand. In the same distance, there are numerous taverns and restaurants to have breakfast, launch and dinner.

Outside

When you reach the villa, you find yourself surrounded by beautiful natural green, that dresses up the villa as a piece of heaven. Going up the stairs, you reach the large terrace beside the really big infinity pool (14m x 4.5m). The panoramic view of the endless sea and the whole bay of Vasiliki, will enchant you! On the north side of the terrace, the Mulberry trees, create the perfect shadow for a refreshing afternoon rest. On the other side of the terrace the extra large sofa will host your nights and days. The outdoor jacuzzi, is adding the final drops of pleasure in this luxurious stay, while the infinity pool creates a lovely waterfall, that will be the relaxing soundtrack of your vacation.

A few meters away, through the stairways, you are lead to the rock-built house on the top of the main house, where the summer breeze will refresh you. The lovely shaded veranda is the ultimate area for yoga, massages and spiritual awakening. Lose yourselves in the sound of cicadas, and let your mind and body reach the perfect relaxation.

Main floor

The top side of the pool ends just outside the house, under the pergola, bringing the sensation of an inside-outdoor living area. The really old olive tree, perceptively placed among the two -full of natural light- living areas, is giving a Mediterranean aesthetics in the high ceiling dinning room.

On the left, you will find the fully equipped kitchen, with one large American style oven and gas stoves, placed on the really spacious kitchen island. One more oven and double door fridge are offered in the kitchen, which will give you all the space and tools you need to enjoy a comfortable living, while the openness to the white lounge, will not deprive you of the lovely view. On the right, there is an extra long and comfortable sofa, smart tv and a piano ready to entertain you. Just in the front of the room there is a very comfortable working space for those who need to work on their vacation.

Next door, the 2 bedrooms are sharing a bathroom. In the front, one king size bed, with pool access and sea view, while in the back, the room has 3 single beds.

1st Floor

Using the stairs to the higher floor, you reach the master bedroom with a king size bed, high ceiling, full of light and a walk-in closet. The ensuite large bathroom offers double sink, plus both bathtub and shower.

On the other end of the glass corridor, the 4th bedroom sleeps 4 persons, since it offers one double bed in the basic floor and one more double bed on the mezzanine. There is also an ensuite shower room and a separate WC.

The 5th room can be both accessed through the glass corridor as well as the separate outside stairway. Double bed and ensuite bathroom, perfect sea view and private veranda!

Yoga house

Through a penning path, you are lead to the highest point of the plot. The stone built house is perfect isolation from the rest of the party noises. One double bed and ensuite bathroom plus the unobstructed sea view. The yoga terrace also provides a small fridge for your refreshments and an outside sink.

The island of Lefkada in Greece has tourist attractions to suit everybody: impressive scenery, long golden sandy beaches, crystal clear water, many orthodox churches, archaeological sites and museums in Lefkada. To discover the sea or enjoy the wind, hire a sailing or motor boat, a hobby cat or a windsurf kit. For trips on the islands, choose between a car, 4X4, quad, motorbike or mountain bikes. Villa Doukato is the best choice you can make for a luxury villa. Also daily cleaning is possible on request with an extra cost.

The Perfect Holiday destination

We stayed at the Villa Doukato for two weeks, with our three daughters, husbands and grandchildren to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. It was the perfect villa in the perfect location, there was plenty to see and plenty to do. We were extremely well looked after by Morino who was very prompt in dealing with any questions. There was a great choice of restaurants within walking distance of the villa, and Vassiliki is a very attractive and friendly little town.

Trés bien situé face à au petit port de Vasiliki et totalement isolé sur une colline vierge de toute construction. Trés belle piscine à débordement, terrasse extérieure en bois et puissante climatisation. Une villa de rêve mais dont il faut profiter très vite car le climat et le manque d'entretien risque de faire que les choses se dégradent rapidement.

What a lucky choice for us! Villa Doukato is architecturally perfect- retracting windows, views of the harbor, beautiful furniture. So many lovely places inside and out to sit and read and to enjoy the sea, the mountains, and the breezes. The pool is practically inside the house. The kitchen is full of nice dishes and varied glasses, unlike so many rental houses. Vassiliki is a small town but just enough restaurants, stores, and water sports to keep us happy for 11 days. Most nights we walked down our private road and into town for dinner at a small taverna right on the water. Heaven. Villa Doukato was more beautiful than we expected. A perfect Greek vacation.

We enjoyed a fabulous two weeks staying in Vassiliki, Lefkada in July 2017. The house was extremely comfortable and afforded fantastic views of the bay and surrounding islands. We spent many an enjoyable afternoon watching the windsurfers gliding over the waters from the houses pontoon on the beach below. Thank you.
